Shirley Mae Beavers (Farrell) of Accokeek, MD passed away at 5:55 a.m. on December 10, 2014 at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
She was employed and cared for senior citizens who resided at Branchwood Towers in Clinton, MD prior to an accident in April, 1998. She enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren (26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren) and was a born again Christian.
Born on July 18, 1947, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Charles I. Farrell, Sr. and Alice Farrell (Pickeral). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Melvin Beavers; her son, George Melvin Beavers, Jr.; and her twin grandchildren, Galeah and Galina Adams.
She is survived by her daughters: Barbara Adams, Rosemary Meredith, Georgeanna Stinnett, Shirley Klotz, and Gloria Adams; her sons-in-law: Garold Adams, Steve Meredith, Duane Stinnett, and Charles (Chuck) Klotz; her grandchildren: Garold Adams, Jr., Geralyn Adams, Glen Adams, Gabriel Adams, Garrett Adams, Gewelianna Adams, Georgina Adams, Terry Graham, Jr., Jeffrey Graham, Amber Graham, Robert Stinnett, Justin Stinnett, Anna Stinnett, Amanda Klotz, Catherine Klotz, Charles (Chuckie) Klotz, Jr., Elizabeth Klotz, Jonathan Klotz, Stephen Klotz, Semore (Buddy) Adams, Jr., Destiny Adams, Chance McCreight, Jayden Rohme, Austin Rohme, Madison Rohme and Mason Rohme; and her great-grandchildren: Kalani-Grace Marshall, Malakhi-Melvin Graham, Gianni-Rose Gibbs, and Rielynne Graham.
Visitation will be held on December 16, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on December 17, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a 11 a.m. service by Pastor Charles V. Shifflett at Williams Funeral Home in Indian Head, MD. Repast to follow at Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad in Ironsides, MD.
Interment will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD, on December 30, 2014 at 1:45 p.m. For those wishing to partake in the Interment, please meet at the Cemetery or at the Williams Funeral Home in Indian Head, MD at 12:45 p.m.
