It is with great sadness, that we announce that Mary Virginia Cuppett, of Fort Washington, MD, was called home by the angels of God, on Thursday, June 22, 2017. She transitioned peacefully, at the age of 64, from her residence – surrounded by love, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Southard, Jr. and Eleanor E. (Payne) Southard. She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Cuppett, after sharing over 43 years of life together. She is also survived by her three sons: Paul A. Southard (Kathy), Earl J. Cuppett (Little Earl), Earl A. Cuppett (Lynne), her daughter Lisa Cuppett-Wahler (John), and Little Mary - who Mrs. Cuppett felt was one of her own; her three grandchildren: Michael Cuppett, Rachel Cuppett, Matthew Marsh, and her great-grandson Garrett.
In life, she shared love with her sisters and their partners: Bonnie (Rick), Lois, Becky (Butch), Bernice (Harold), Carla, Pam (Dwight), Rita, and her brother Alan. She also shared great love for her nieces and nephews: Tina, Dana, Jeremy, Billy, Joey, Stacey, Brian, Jason, and John.
Mary drove a special needs school bus, for Prince George’s County, for over 31 years before retiring. She enjoyed life, spending time with friends and loved ones, and being at the campground. She loved God and always placed the needs and well-being of others, before herself. She will be loved and greatly missed, by all who knew her. May she live in Peace for Eternity ~ in the Glory of God, in Heaven.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support, in many heart-felt forms, from too many people to name individually, but including: family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ – either through prayer and/or visits, Hospice of the Chesapeake & their team, and neighbors.
Viewing will be held from 10 am until 12 pm, with funeral service beginning at Noon on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601).
