Yvonne "Ruth" Grinder

Yvonne “Ruth” Grinder. 82, of Marbury, Maryland, born in April 2, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas, passed away at home February 18, 2023.

She was the daughter of Gladys and Harry Conover.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, George Elvin Grinder and brother Patrick Conover.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Nutter, her husband Doug, son Rusty Grinder, grandchildren Rachel, Dustin and Christopher Nutter, nephews Steve and Greg Conover.  As well as her friend of 72 years, Frances Moody.

Ruth graduated from Lackey High School and cosmetology school.  She worked as a beautician for Real Art Salon, owned by her mother.  She married Elvin on November 7, 1964.  They later opened Discount Fuel and Grinders Liquors, where she worked until retirement.

Ruth enjoyed her many pets, dancing, sewing and crafts.  Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Bryans Road, Maryland or Moose Lodge 1712 in Indian Head, Maryland.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11 AM and the service will follow at 12 PM at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Bryans Road, Maryland.  Internment will be private, Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland  Pallbearers are Dustin Nutter, Christopher Nutter, Bobby Moody and Travis Worley, Billy Robey and Tommy Pickle.
