Wayne "Larry" Allen

Wayne “Larry” Allen, 69, of Gambrills, Maryland; formerly of Indian Head, Maryland passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, May 2, 2026.  Larry was born in La Plata, Maryland on August 31, 1956 to Alton L. Allen Sr. and Margaret Cooksey Allen.  Larry was the youngest of six children.

Larry was an Auto Body Mechanic and worked with his father at Allen’s Auto Body Shop in Indian Head, Maryland for many years.  He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting.  He loved his family and loved growing up in Indian Head.

Larry is predeceased by his parents, sisters Gloria J. Groenwoldt (Buddy), Susan L. Robbins, brother Alton L. Allen Jr., niece Karri Chamberlain, nephews Mark Groenwoldt and Eric Robbins. He is survived by his sister Cheryl Maddox of La Plata, Maryland (Bobby), Sandra Rodeheaver of Colonial Beach, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent in Larry’s memory to the Indian Head Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad (4095 Indian Head Highway, Indian Head, MD. 20640).

Funeral service and internment will be private.
