Lodge served in the United States Army and later worked on the Naval Base in Indian Head for several years. His real passion was working on his farm; he was an avid farmer who absolutely loved being outside on his farm from sun up to sun down and caring for his many animals throughout the years. He also boarded several horses and thoroughly enjoyed sitting and watching the owners come over to care for and ride the horses.
Many of Lodge’s friends and family hold fond memories of his unwavering generosity and giving heart, and simpler times when he and his late brother-in-law Aubrey Coombs would sit around and strum the guitar and sing for the family at Christmas time.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 12 PM and he will be laid to rest beside his loving wife JoAnn at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, Maryland.
