Sharon Harris

Sharon “Nanny” Harris, 74 of Indian Head, Maryland passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026.  She was born on December 20, 1951.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, AB Harris, sons Brian (Kimberly), Robby (Jenel), and Corey (Travita); her sisters Betty and Jane Joyce; brothers Mac, Jimmy and Jackie.  She had seven grandchildren Robby Jr, Alyssa, Samantha, Ciara, Kylie, Khari, and Darius; and six great-grandchildren James, Carter, Lilliana, Isaiah, Vamir and Kai.

She was preceeded in death by her mother Sue Miller and brother Freddy Miller.

Sharon was a retired US Postmaster.

She enjoyed crafting, decorating for each holiday, collecting antiques, and cooking.  She would always let you know when she made your favorite meal.  Her family would always put in their request for her cooking at all the family gatherings. She was a caretaker to all, even the kids that weren’t family called her Nanny because she treated them like family.  She also enjoyed time with her furry companions.  Her dogs were also treated like her babies.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the funeral home at 10 AM until time of memorial service at 12 noon.
