We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Salvatore Culotta “Sal, Butch” who passed away on February 11, 2024 surrounded by family.
Sal is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth C. Hartman, her spouse Michael, his granddaughter Isabella; brother, Martin Culotta and wife, Terri; as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and his partner Annie Berger.
Sal was an avid volunteer who was very active with Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Catholic Churches in both Maryland and Delaware, and aided the Red Cross as a Disaster Response Volunteer. Sal also enjoyed spending his time outdoors hiking, kayaking, camping, and watching his granddaughter ride and care for her horses as well as spending time with his canine companion, “Danny”.
A service honoring Sal Culotta will be held at St. William of York, Catonsville Maryland on March 19, 2024 at 2 PM with refreshments to follow. Sal will receive military honors in California at a later date.
