Roy "Wayne" Boothe Obituary

DUE TO WINTER WEATHER, THE MEMORIAL FOR ROY BOOTHE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO MARCH 13TH.

Born in Olney, Maryland, at Montgomery General Hospital on July 13, 1954 to Elinora Fay Williams Sonifrank  and Harlie Lawerence Boothe.  Roy Wayne Boothe a man whose kindness reached everyone and anyone, died suddenly of a heart attack in his home on January 13, 2021.

Known as Wayne Sr., precedes in death of his mother, father, sisters; Holly Boothe/Sonifrank, Mattie Boothe/Pickle, Peggy Sue Liker, brothers; Pete Liker and Mark Bolt, his brothers in law; Terry Pickle, Jesse Bradford Jr. And David Sonifrank Sr.

Wayne is survived by his brother Sam Boothe (Ann) and sister Joy Howard, his children; Carolina Fay Boothe, Roy “Wayne“ Boothe Jr and Chip Cates (Becca). His grandchildren Savanna Saunders, Zach Sinsel, Julia, Annabelle and Logan Cates, Annamaria Zimmerman and brother in law Gale Bradford. His life time friend Pat Turner, who he shared 40 years of friendship with. A few aunts and uncles and many cousins, 4 nieces and 11 nephews.

A man who could fix it all, a jack of all trades enjoyed helping others just to see them happy.  He would give you any of his “treasures” just by asking.  Wayne loved fishing, spending time with his kids and grandkids, and when they weren’t there speaking constantly of how proud he is of them.  As much as he loved people and his family, his animals were his pride and joy. Wilbur his pig son was his not so little buddy.  Every animal had a name and a set personality he could’ve written an individual book on.  His most recent baby was his cat TC Boothe who was living with him at the time of passing.

The man that would give you the shirt off his back, was also a tricky sales man. He’d sell you the same car 3 times, then work on it for you for free.  If you needed a part, there’s no doubt he had it in his treasure (junk) pile. Collections beyond collections, he kept just because he knew someone would need it one day.

In his last part of life, he was finally getting all his ducks in a row.  Wayne was staying with Staneen and Syrone Posey whom his family is most grateful for loving him as much as they do. Wayne loved and adored them as well, the most amazing people that could’ve been placed in his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make a donation to the American Heart Association, so others can have more life chances.
