Rick Vernon King

Rick Vernon King, 66, of Bryans Road, Maryland passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at home. 

Born on June 10, 1953 in Montgomery County Maryland, to Betty Frances Davis and Vergil Charkie King.  Rick was raised in Marlow Heights, Maryland. 

He began working with his father as a young teen at the Family owned business, King’s Cars.  Rick began his longtime career as a heavy equipment mechanic with Aggregate Industries for 30 years before retiring in 2017.  Rick was an avid CB operator for over 40 years and had many CB friends locally and loved to speak skip with other CBers all over the United States and the world.  As a classic car enthusiast, he loved cruising around in his 57 Chevy. 

Rick will be dearly missed by his wife of 43 years Loretta (Flynn) King, daughters Shelby King (Bubba) and Tracey King (Keys); his grandchildren Karissa Bannister, Jaelynn McGee, Stormi McGee, and Ricardo Keys III; his extended family numerous nieces and nephews; brothers Vergil King (Tina), Michael King (Caryne); his sisters Gail Hickman (Billy) and Debbie Booher (Mike); and his extended Flynn Family.  He is proceeded in death by his mother Betty F. King, his father Vergil C. King, and his sister Donna Bohac and her husband Dick.
