Richard “Richie” Bryan Jansen, 58, died on Saturday, December 10, 2022.  He was born in Washington, DC on November 29, 1964.


He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Richard Ellis Jansen; grandparents Charlie and Betty Cary; and Henry and Lily Jansen and his uncle Bruce Cary.


He is survived by his mother Sharyn Gantt, stepfather Alan Gantt; sisters Cary Ann Sorrells, Emilie Smith (Grahme), brother Adam Gantt (Stephanie); Aunt Carol Sprague; Uncle George Jansen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Richie was an auto parts technician.  He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with cars.  He also loved music and had a good sense of humor.  


Memorial contributions may be made to S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat), 71 O St NW, Washington, DC 20001. 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10 AM until time of memorial service at 11 AM.
