Richard Jerry Shelley AKA “Porkchop”, 64, passed away at the Calvert County Nursing Center with family by his side on August 18, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father Richard E. Shelley, his grandparents Benjamin Malcom Shelley and Ruth E. Shelley, and Aunts Linda Langdon and Cherly Blake.  Surviving family are his Aunt Jenny S. Dye (Doug), and Uncle’s James Shelley (Sue), William Shelley (Betty Seater), and Kenneth Shelley along with many cousins. 

Jerry was employed by Seven Star Aggregate for many years and later was self-employed purchasing and selling cars from auctions. Jerry loved cars, music, and spending time with family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Calvert County Nursing Home for the excellent caregiving of Richard J. Shelley during his stay.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life for family and friends on September 13, 2025, from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Waldorf Elks Lodge at 2210 Old Washington Road, Waldorf Maryland 20601.
