Raphael Maston was born November 14th 1985 in La Plata Maryland. He was raised in Indian Head Maryland and was a Lackey High School Graduate.

He was proud to be a professional tree climber and enjoyed spending time deep in the woods wedged into the tallest tree. If he wasn’t there, he was probably somewhere covered in mud with a power tool in hand. Nobody worked harder than Raphael, and he was always there to help friends and family in need.

Raphael’s happiest times were spent with his three children Chase, Colton, and Kennedy. Each carry his everlasting love in their hearts. Raphael worked hard, played hard, cared for others, and never backed down from a challenge. Most of all we will remember his tight hugs, silly laughs, and the way he said “I love you” instead of goodbye.

Raphael A. Maston joins his beloved “Poppy” (Grandfather James Maston). He is survived by his parents Shelley and David Kelley, Father Rodney B. Taylor, Sister Sasha Kelley, Grandmother Barbara L. Maston, paternal grandparents Jerome Short and Laura Shanklin. His children Chase Maston, Colton Maston, and Kennedy Maston, the Mother of his children Tiffany Bowie, and many extended family members and dear friends.
