Ralph “Butch” William Faverty Jr., 76 returned home to the loving arms of the Lord on April 5, 2018 at his home in Indian Head.
Butch retired after 33 years of service at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and he could fix almost anything. He liked to feed the squirrels, watch the birds and had even named them all. He also enjoyed just hanging out with friends and family with a smoke and a beer cutting up and telling crazy stories. Most of all he loved spending time with his grand and great grand babies.
Butch was born on November 16, 1941. He was the son of the late Ralph W. Faverty Sr. and Elizabeth T. Faverty. In Addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister Mary Juanita Kline. He was survived by his devoted wife Jacqueline E. Sons David Alan Faverty, Darryl William Faverty, Jason Guy Few and Daughter Angel Marie Faverty, Daughters-in-law Sharon Faverty and Amanda Few, grandchildren Kenneth Allen Sanders, Amanda Lee Faverty, Haley Marie Kenyon, Makenzie Breanna Kitts, Scott William Faverty, Kyle William Faverty, Drake Sterling Few, Izzy Mae Few, Lilly Marie Faverty and Great grandchildren Skye Edwards Kenyon, Jayce Allen Sanders and Leena Rae Sanders.
Butch was loved dearly by all those who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Indian Head on April 12, 2018 from 10 AM until time of service at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
