In Loving Memory of Ralph Simmons
Ralph Simmons, a beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 77.
Born on March 10, 1946, Ralph was a native of Indian Head, Maryland. He was the son of the late Thomas and Grace Simmons.
Throughout his life, Ralph exhibited an unwavering commitment to his family. He married the love of his life, Jean Cary on March 29, 1969 and together they shared almost 55 years of a loving and enduring partnership.
As a father he was very proud of his three daughters, Analisa, Jill and Linsey. In recent years he was able to reconnect with his son, Scott (Cindy). He also enjoyed spending time with his sons-in-law Jeff, Jimmy & George. One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather to Cory (Nikki) , Kailyn (John), Lauren, Noah & Mallory.
Ralph was also a dedicated friend who touched the lives of many. His warmth, humor, and genuine care for others made him a joy to be around.
Ralph was an Army Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country; and continued serving his country in the Army as a Reservist where he retired from the reserves.
Ralph was the Meat Manager for Bolling AFB Commissary for over 30 years. t
A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Chicamuxen United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at 11 AM until time of funeral service at 12 noon. Internment Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations are requested for the Wounded Warrior Project https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org. Ralph donated to many charities, his favorite being the Wounded Warriors Project.
Ralph will be remembered for his love, his laughter, and wonderful stories. He touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and will live on forever in our hearts.
