Paul E. Skinner, 79, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024 at his home in Bryans Road, Maryland. He was the son of the late Walter Skinner and Thelma Skinner Mistr. Paul was preceded in death by his brother David and sister Sandra.
Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joy, his children Eric (Carolina) of South Carolina, Joe of Bryans Road, Maryland, Jamie Lambdin (Rich) of North Carolina, eight grandchildren and 1 adopted grandchild.
Paul was a native of Charles County. He was born in La Plata on September 28, 1944 and he grew up in Nanjemoy. He graduated from La Plata High School in 1962. He worked driving a truck for Safeway and an oil company. Then he was called to serve his country. He was in the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry Division from 1965 – 1967. He was in the Korean Conflict. He went to work for Lipnick Construction Co. Then went to work at NOS (NSWC) as a Security Guard. He then went to the Moser Plant as a chemical Plant Operator. Paul’s knowledge of the Moser Plant Operations played a key role in the start-up of the new Neutralizing process He retired from NSWC Indian Head after 30 years of service.
Paul loved hunting (especially with his brother David), fishing, wood crafts, going to craft shows, feeding the birds, and being a watermen.
Friends will be received at Nanjemoy Baptist Church on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 12 noon. Internment Church cemetery.
