Maria Lynn Ammons, 42, of Mechanicsville, Maryland was called home to glory on March 31, 2025 at 1:42 AM peacefully and surrounded by family.

She was born on March 9, 1983, to Raymond Lewis Lynch and Cynthia Dawn Lynch in Princeton, West Virginia. 

Maria was a loving wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, and friend. Her love and passion for those around her was truly unmatched. She will be remembered for her tenacious spirit, and unwavering dedication to the people and things that she loved. 

She married James Henry Ammons V on December 11, 2010 and they had 4 beautiful children, Jayden Rayne Ammons, Leilani Sanaa Ammons, James Henry Ammons VI, and Dominic Josiah Ammons. 

Maria joined the Charles County Sheriff’s Office as a Central Processing Specialist in the Corrections Division before transferring to the Records Section as a Police Records Technician in July 2017. She rose through the ranks to Police Records Technician Ill before taking on her most recent position as a Technical Specialist in the Criminal Investigations Division, a role she was extremely proud to fulfill.

Maria is survived in death by her husband, James Henry Ammons V; children, Jayden Rayne Ammons, Leilani Sanaa Ammons, James Henry Ammons VI, and Dominic Josiah Ammons; parents, Raymond Lewis Lynch, and Cynthia Dawn Lynch; grandmother, Eleanor Earnestine Allen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Homer Lee Allen; paternal grandparents, Robert Cockrell and Elizabeth Ann Cockrell; and many aunts and uncles. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Bryans Road, Maryland. 

Repast will follow at The Lutheran Church of Savior located in Bryans Road, Maryland.
