Linda Hayes, 71, Nanjemoy, Maryland passed away on June 4, 2025 surrounded by her family.
She was born September 20, 1953 in Juneau, Alaska to the late John and Alice Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Laura, father in law William Hayes, sister Dena, brothers, Jimmy, John and stepparents Fern Thompson and Ray Bien.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Robert, daughter Michele and her children Joseph, Zachary, James and Sadie, great granddaughter Zoey, daughter Dena and her children William (Dezi) Andrea and Ashley and their father Sean O’York, great grandchildren, Zariah and Levi, daughter Barbara (Eddie) and her daughter Deja. Her mother in law Carolyn Hayes, brother in laws William (Jean) Joseph (Cathy) and Steven. Her sisters Jenny, Jane and her baby brother John and many cousins, nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, Sandra Lewis, Peggy Phelps and Joyce Wood.
Before her health declined, she enjoyed volunteering at the Ironsides Rescue Squad, her children’s schools, Red Cross disaster relief and local Mental Health programs.
