Lawrence "Larry" Warren Simmons

Lawrence “Larry” Warren Simmons, 73, originally of Indian Head, Maryland passed away on February 27, 2024 at his home in Navarre, Florida.

Born on November 2, 1950 to Thomas Edelen Simmons and Grace Virginia Pickeral Simmons. His greatest joy in life, was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would often be found on the sidelines of their football fields, baseball and softball diamonds, cheering them on from the stands.

He attended Lackey High School and retired from the Federal Government. Larry was a lifetime member of the Indian Head Fire Department and also spent several years as an EMT with the Charles County Medic Unit. 

He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Janet Simmons, and his siblings Ann, Rodger, Gloria, Kitty and Ralph. 

Larry is survived by his five children, Christopher (Silena), Jamie (Diane), Eric (Jennifer), Amanda, and Amber (Rusty), his 13 beloved grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sister, Wanda Simmons.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the funeral home from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 noon.  Burial at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland.
