Lathan “Nate” Shawton Owens, 49 of Oxon Hill, Maryland, died on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1973.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Sherline Owens and Joseph Douglas; brothers Paul Greenfield, Jr. and Carl Owens; grandparents Norman S. Owens Sr. and Mary Annabelle Owens; Mary A. Hart and Larry Owens.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Shannica Owens; uncle, Pastor Norman S. Owens (Jacquelyn), aunts, JoAnne Knox (Calvin) and Mary D. Taylor (James).
Nate was a welder. He enjoyed nature photography.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM. Internment Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, Maryland.
