It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kara Denise Howard, beloved mother to Cory and Collin Howard of Indian Head, Maryland, who sadly passed away on February 25, 2025, leaving a void of joy and happiness she brought to all who knew her.

Kara was born in 1981 to parents Ed and Shelley Mintz. 

Kara was a devoted mother to Cory and Collin her "twin" pride and joy.  She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.

Kara took special joy in raising her twin boys and had fond memories of family and friends.

Kara had a passion for caring for others as reflective in her career as a home healthcare provider.  Kara enjoyed crafting and posting photos on social media of the things she loved the most, family and friends to include Gizmo and Pebbles, her four legged furry friends. 

Kara was preceded in death by her father Ed Mintz and grandfather Herbert C Geary, USMC (Ret) and is survived by hers sons, Cory and Collin, mother, Shelley Denise Mintz, brother, Christopher L. Mintz, and grandmother (GG), Betty J. Geary, all who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
