Kaitlyn Jean Willett Obituary

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Kaitlyn Jean Willett passed away in her hometown - Nanjemoy, Maryland.

Katie was born to John and Nellie Willett on November 19, 1999. She was the older sister to her brother, Joseph Willett.

Katie was a recent graduate of West Virginia University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health, pursuing her passion to educate and care for others. In high school, Katie was a student liaison on the Student Government Association board, a member of the National Honors Society, and an MVP of her field hockey team. Katie worked as a childcare provider at Potomac Early Learning Center; she cherished children and they cherished her. She was a devout member of her church, Marbury Baptist Church.

Katie was an artist who loved capturing life’s moments in paintings. She enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and swimming. In the winter she loved to build snowmen with her brother, and in the summer, she loved to go to the beach with friends. She adored all music and loved to sing and dance. Katie had the most beautiful smile that would light up every room she entered. She was a best friend to everyone who knew her.

Katie is survived by her parents John and Nellie Willett, her brother Joseph Willett, her aunt Maureen Perrygo, her cousin Sam Lee, and her Uncle Steve Willett. She will be missed by her family members and friends, forever.

The family will receive friends at the Marbury Baptist Church on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM, followed by repast.
