Joseph "Joe" Adrian Farrell Jr. was born in La Plata, Maryland on February 25, 1952. On Friday, July 26, 2024 Joe passed away peacefully at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home following a long battle with heart disease and diabetes.


He graduated from Lackey High School in 1971. Joe served in the United States Army from 1972-1974 and then served in the Army Reserve after that time. Joe worked a majority of his career at Southern Maryland Hospital working in the Dietary Department until retirement.


Joe Farrell Jr. was preceded in death by his mother Mary Binger Farrell, father Joseph Farrell Sr., sister Shirley Binger Turner and brother Charlie Binger. He is survived by his brother William Farrell, sister-in-law Gail Farrell, brother Ernie Binger and sister-in-law Anna Binger, and many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.


Many who remember him best called him "Joe Joe" for many years of his life. He loved spending time with family, going to church, watching movies and TV shows, attending comic book conventions, and eating delicious food. Joe had a love for God that radiated out of him. He was often sharing Bible stories or departing words of wisdom from his many years of attending church faithfully. Joe’s life was devoted to serving God and others. His memory will be cherished by the family and friends he leaves behind.
