Joseph Cullins Hill III passed away on December 27, 2024 in the arms of his true love.  J.C. was born in Washington, D.C. on July 23, 1958 to Nancy and Joe Hill.  He attended Lackey High School and settled down on the banks of the Potomac River.  He spent his days on the water – either working or playing.  As boating was in his blood, it was only natural for him to find his way in the world as a Master Marine Technician.  Getting started at Southern Maryland Marine, in White Plains, J.C. went on to become an entrepreneur.  He opened up J.C.’s Outboards & Marine, on the Western side of Charles County, where he serviced the boating community for over 35 years.  “The Boat Shop” was more than just a business, it was a place where friends became family. J.C. enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, VO & Pepsi.  Most of all, he loved spending time with the love of his life, Bev; married for 45 years, they worked hard to build a life most people can only dream of.

J.C. is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jeffrey.  He is survived by his wife Beverly, his brother Barry (Patricia), nephew Joey, an abundance of family and friends, Champ III, and Bev’s numerous cats.

Services will be held at the Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department Hall (16111 Livingston Road, Accokeek, MD) on January 8, 2025.  Viewing starts at 10:30 AM, funeral service begins at 12:00 PM, burial at Shiloh Cemetery and Celebration of Life to follow.  Black t-shirt and blue jean attire.  If desired, donations in memory of J.C. can be made to the Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department or the American Cancer Society.  Flowers may be delivered to the fire hall at any time on Tuesday.
