Joseph Franklin Kitts

Waldorf – Joseph F. Kitts, 71, died Unexpectedly

on November 11, 2021, at home

He was born December 7, 1949, on the farm in

Fairfax County, VA. He was the son of Jolly H. Kitts, Sr.

and Joan Marie (Trowbridge) Kitts. Joey graduated

from Lackey High School, Class of 1969. Following

graduation, he served with the United States Navy,

Vietnam era as a structural mechanic. Upon honorable discharge

from the Navy, he travelled across the United States

finally settling down in Waldorf, Maryland.

Joey was a loyal member of the VFW Post 1800

and the American Legion Post 82. Joey was a musician,

riding his Harley, classic car enthusiast, and animal rights advocate.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his

twin brother Jolly H. Kitts, Jr., brother Jay D. Kitts and sister Janet M. Kitts.

Joey is survived by his sister Jeanette L. Risko (Dean) of Nanjemoy, MD,

and brother Jeffery C. Kitts, Sr. (Kay) of Indian Head, MD,

Nieces: Majesta (Jesse) Kitts of Providence, RI; Tracey L. Long (Larry) of Sarasota, FL.

Kelly J. Bikowski (Chris) of White Plains, MD’; Lisa M. Gust of Midlothian, VA.

Kathleen M Reeher (Ed) of Holly Springs, NC; Stephanie Mathews (Andy) of

Omaha, NE; Miranda Eggeling of Glenwood, IA; and Colleen Spellacy of Waldorf, MD.

Nephews: Travis D. Kitts of Indian Head, MD; Jeffery C. Kitts (Brenda) of Danville, VA.

Robert Hutchins of Fairfax, VA; and John Hanson (Dawn) of Omaha, NE.

Great Nieces: Aspen Bikowski, Lilly Eggeling, and Brea Kitts

Great Nephews: Ayden Bikowski, Daxter Eggeling, AJ Gomez,

Brandon Gomez, Aiden Kitts, and Jaxson Howell.

A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday November 23, 2021

at Williams Funeral Home 4270 Hawthorne Rd., Indian Head, MD

with viewing between 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
