John Peter Nalborczyk, age 81, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at his home in Nanjemoy, MD. Born in Germany, John immigrated to New York at the age of 7. A survivor of unimaginable hardship during his family's migration, he carried the strength and resilience forged in those early years throughout his life.
John was a master carpenter for the Board of Education for 43 years. He was a man of many talents, fluent in German, Russian, Polish, and English. His family's decision to settle in Southern Maryland led him to a life he cherished.
Married to Rosemary Nalborczyk for 58 years since July 23, 1966, John was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Nalborczyk, and his children, Richard Nalborczyk, Danny Nalborczyk, Tina Nalborczyk, and Christopher Nalborczyk. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. He now joins his two late children, his parents, and siblings in eternal peace.
John was the heart of the Nalborczyk family. He possessed a rare combination of strength and sweetness, and a great sense of humor. He was a strong man, a loving provider, and a man who always made sure to kiss his family goodbye. He was a peacemaker, a steady presence who held his family together through thick and thin. A true animal lover, John's home was full of creatures, including chickens, turkeys, dogs, and his beloved cats, especially Little Man.
John's absence will be deeply felt by his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 12 PM until time of funeral services at 2 PM.
