Jeanne Lorraine Bushey, 78, of Indian Head, Maryland passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025. She was born on April 13, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Jeanne attended Lackey High School in Indian Head. She retired from Maryland Rock Industries where she worked as the Office Manager. She loved spending time with her family and doing crafty projects. Her favorite pastime was doing paint-by-number paintings. These were very intricate, and she was very dedicated to making them beautiful…and they were!

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Bartholow and Bessie Dora (Helwig) Bartholow, her sisters, Betty Bartholow, Della R. Wood, Mary A. Barnes, Catherine M. Randall, Dolores L. Sherman, and her daughter, Lisa Lynne Bushey.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Ayrlie Bushey, her daughter, Melissa Jean Bretz (David Bretz), her granddaughters, Chloe Vaughn Bretz, Keaton Jean Bretz, and Dempsi Grace Bretz. Being a
grandmother brought so much joy to her life and she absolutely loved being their “Funny Grandma”.  She is also survived by her brother Elmer “Jim” Bartholow, and her many nieces and
nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Indian Head Moose Lodge in Indian Head, Maryland on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm. The Celebration of Life will include a light service with an opportunity for folks to share stories and say a few words if they would like.
