On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Janet Edna Vayro passed away in LaPlata, Maryland after a Waldorf ambulance crew and a LaPlata cardiologist tried very hard to save her life.
Janet was born on September 15, 1952 at the Navy hospital in Key West, Florida.
She graduated from Lackey High School in 1970. That same year she began working at Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Washington, DC.
Janet was married to Thomas Vayro on June 16, 1971 at St. James Church in Indian Head, Maryland.

Janet retired from what was now known as Care First in 2018, having worked for them for 48 years.
Janet is survived by her husband Thomas, her son Casey (Jackie) and three grandchildren Jaxson, Ella and Ethan. She is also survived by two sisters Roberta Short and Shirley Jadwin of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a niece, Robin Pompell and a nephew Robert Putz both of Maryland.
