James (Jim) Michael McDonough Sr., 65 of Upper Tract, West Virginia passed away on October 3, 2024, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. 

Jim, a native of Maryland, was born on February 12, 1959, in Washington DC.  He was the son of the late James McDonough and Ann McDonough.  Jim was predeceased by his wife Christina McDonough.  He is survived by his son James (Kerra) McDonough Jr, and daughters Nicole Rickett, Kacey McDonough, brother John (Paula) McDonough and sister Kathy McDonough and five beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Makenzie, Haley, Braelinn and Matthew. Nephews Derek and CJ and nieces Nicki, Lisa and Ashley.

Jim lived the majority of his life in Maryland until he retired from the Local 26, Electrical Union, then moved to West Virginia in 2020.  He graduated from Lackey High School in 1977.  Jim was a member of the Moose Lodge. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and the camaraderie of friends and family.

A memorial service will be held to honor Jim’s life on Saturday, November 2, 2024 @ 2:00 PM at the Indian Head Moose Lodge (11 Moose Lodge Way, Indian Head, MD 20640).
