Harry Lee Yake III, 52 passed away on April 15, 2018 in Charles County with his four daughters and brother singing to him. He was born on October 22, 1965, in Bethesda, Maryland to Harry Lee Yake, Jr. and Maria Soledad Yake. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Mae Yake and brother Clifton Yake “CJ.” He is survived by siblings Maria Yake, Kenneth Yake and Nathaniel Yake and their families. He is also survived by his four daughters Desiree Yake, Tabitha Yake, Savannah Yake and Sabrina Yake. Grandsons Michael Talbert and Brayden Lavis.
Harry was an amazing father, provider, teacher and best of all “Poppy”. He was best known for time spent with his family and his love for music. He was naturally musically talented. Harry played the drums and sang in several bands and owned his own DJ/Karaoke business. He also spent many years managing a salvage yard. He loved boating, traveling, yard sales and cuisine. Evident by his loving family and many friends. Harry was a dynamic person who could always crack a joke, light up a room and make you LOL. Harry was truly a lover (of many things) and the peace maker in his family and full of love.
There will be a celebration of life at Scott’s Bar II/Reception Hall (7070 Port Tobacco Road, Welcome, MD 20693). The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 7:00 PM, until time of service/repast at 7:30 PM.
