Guy "Homer" Hayes Obituary

Guy Kevin Hayes “Homer” 31, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2019 in Nanjemoy, Maryland. He was born January 20, 1988 to Ray Hayes and Terry Crowley.

On February 9, 2013, Homer married Jessica N. Stotler; together they shared 7 years, and had three beautiful daughters: Leelynn, Elizabeth, and Glennie.

He was known to all as ‘Homer’.  He attended Henry E. Lackey High School.  He worked as a laborer doing asphalt and construction.  He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.  He loved to sit in the woods all day waiting on deer.  Or on the beach with a fishing pole.  He loved to take his daughters to the river to fish and swim.

He will be remembered for his smile, the way he could make others smile, being a friend to everyone, he met, and how great a dad and uncle he was.

He is survived by his wife Jessica; daughters Leelynn, Elizabeth, and Glennie; mother Terry; father Ray; sister Melanie Echard (Ray); nieces Jessica, Angela, and Leah; grandmother Joyce Watson (John); grandfather James Crowley (Rose); and other family members.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends at 2 PM until time of service at 3 PM.
