Frances Marguerite (Posey) Fuchs

Frances Marguerite (Posey) Fuchs, 92, of Indian Head, Maryland died on July 14, 2020.  She was born on March 16, 1928 and was a life-long resident of Charles County.

Frances was preceeded in death by her parents, Margaret (Bateman) Posey and Norman Carroll Posey, brothers Norman Thomas Posey & James Otis Posey, sister Shirley (Posey) Bowie, and her husband of 58 years Lawrence S. Fuchs Sr., sons Arnold Fuchs & J. Mark Fuchs and daughter Diane Fuchs.

Frances is survived by her brother John Posey of Hunters, WA; son Lawrence Fuchs Jr. & his wife Heidi of Indian Head, MD, daughter J. Michelle Simpson & her husband Marion of Indian Head, MD and 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Frances owned and operated Indian Head Furniture for 30 years.  She worked as a waitress at Smitty's Steak House and as a teenager she worked as a payroll processor at Indian Head Naval Base during WWII.  She loved roses, classic country music, driving, working and taking care of her family.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Indian Head Moose Lodge at 4 PM.
