Elsie Mary Bowie sadly passed away on May 7, 2023, after a long happy life, at her home in Nanjemoy, Maryland.  

Elsie was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Lynch, Nellie Lynch, her husband Charles Bowie, her daughter Mary Bowie (Robin Brawner and Corleta Moore) and ten brothers and sisters.

Elsie is survived by Charles Bowie, Cora Lee (Marvin) Heard (Dana Williams, Marvin Heard Jr. and Tyrone Heard), John Bowie (Nikki Bowie) and Patsy (Joey) Zimmerman (Shania Zimmerman) and her sister Patricia Waters.

There will be a ceremony to bury Elsie’s ashes at Nanjemoy Baptist Church on May 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM. We invite anyone who knew Elsie to attend and remember her. We ask attendees to wear bright colors.
