It is with great sadness that we announce that Earl Cuppett was called home by the angels of God on Friday, September 29, 2023. He transitioned peacefully.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents Dale and Elizabeth, and his two sisters Alice and Patricia. He is survived by his daughter Lisa (John) and his three sons Earl (Lynne), Paul (Kathy) and “Little Earl”; three grandchildren, “Little Mary”; three great-grandchildren, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, best friends from childhood, and first wife Jeanie (John).
Earl was a master sheet metal mechanic, having spent many years working on roofs. During his lifetime, some of his favorite past times included riding motorcycles and a hobby of woodworking that was exemplified by the many detailed items like planters, bird houses & feeders he built and gave to family and friends. He was a dedicated gardener, growing the most delicious vegetables, which he also shared. Their dogs were a big part of family life, and his family spent many hours enjoying the campground. To Earl and Mary, family meant everything, but “Little Earl” was treasured most of all. They loved him more than anything in the world.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd, Waldorf MD 20601). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Earl’s name can be made to: American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692. https://www.heart.org
