In Loving Memory of Delia Yvette Hunter

October 26, 1960 - May 4, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce that Delia Yvette Hunter - beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend - fell asleep in death on May 4, 2025, at the age of 64.

Born on October 26, 1960, to Mack and Irene Johnson, Delia brought warmth, kindness, and a joyful spirit to all who knew her. Her love for life and steadfast faith were evident in every aspect of her journey. She found happiness in life's simple joys: laughter with family and treasured friends, good music, delicious food, fun card games, and beautiful beaches.

Delia is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 40 years, Charles Hunter; her cherished siblings, Deborah Gibbs, Donald Johnson, Doorene Haskins, and Detria Johnson-Banister; and her adored nieces and nephews: Seletra Parham, with whom she had a special bond, Nicole Hutcheson, Christopher Haskins, Avonda Fairley, Jovan Haskins, Beverly Dyson, Washington Gibbs, and Raymond Johnson.

She will be deeply missed by her extended family, spiritual brothers and sisters, and many dear friends.

A memorial service honoring Delia's life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 16303 Livingston Road, Accokeek, MD 20607.

Flowers may be sent to the Kingdom Hall from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the day of the memorial service. Or, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made at jw.org. Delia's faith and love touched the hearts of many, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
