David "Dave" Gerard Fuchs

On Tuesday, January 11, 2022 a beloved member of the Fuchs family, David (Dave) Gerard Fuchs passed away at the age of 68.

He was born September 1, 1953 to Mildred H. Muller Fuchs and Paul Joseph Fuchs (deceased).  He is survived by his three children David Fuchs Jr. (Carrie), Holly Ratliff (Nathan) and Benjamin Fuchs (Elizabeth), five grandchildren: Jacob, Aidan, Brooke, Lorelei and Wyatt, and siblings: Dorothy Kreeger (William), Paul Fuchs Jr, Gail Farrall (William), and Marcia Fuchs, aunt Betty Ryan and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Dave joined the United States Navy out of high school.  He served four years and after that he worked at the base in Indian Head.  He then got a job at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing where he worked many years and retired as a Facilities Project Coordinator. 

He will be remembered as a fun-loving guy who loved boating, fishing and classic cars as well as spending time with friends and family.  He had many wonderful times at the Corinthian Yacht Club where he was a member for several years and forged some wonderful friendships.  He was also a member of the American Legion.  Throughout his life he made many friends and stayed close with his family, whom he loved very much.  He will surely be missed.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 noon.  Internment St. Charles Cemetery, Indian Head, MD.

In lieu of floral tributes, family requests that donations be made in his name to charity of your choice.

Due to the current Covid environment there will not be a reception after the burial.
