Daniel Stephen McCoy, Sr. “David”, 69 of LaPlata, Maryland passed away peacefully at home with his family on May 8, 2022.

David was born on May 28, 1952 in Maryland to James McCoy and Ruby McNeail.

He is preceded in death by his wives Nora and Louise “Lois”, son Daniel and brothers Mark and Mike.

David is survived by his son Kevin McCoy (Teree), stepsons Tony Bowie (Connie), Gordon Bowie (Monica), George Bowie (Lindsey), and Leroy Bowie, sister Kathleen Estes and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

David worked driving a tractor trailer for Mona Contracting.

He had many hobbies, bowling, playing cards, going to the Eagles in Colonial Beach, Virginia where he had great friends.

Pallbearers - Roy Hill, Ricky Allen, William “Dink” Wolf, James “Boog” Duvall, Roosevelt Henderson, and Brian Hill.  Honorary pallbearers Mike Hill and Richard Hash.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 9:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM.  Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
