Chris E. Simmons

Chris E. Simmons, 63, of Marbury, Maryland departed this life on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. He was born July 11, 1959, to the late Francis (Merdie) and Fern Simmons.

Chris received his formal education through the Charles County Public School System. He started his career as Owner, Operator of F.M. Simmons & Sons Trucking, Inc. as a Dump Truck
Driver. He continued employment at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Maryland then transferred to the United States Postal Service where he retired as a Diesel
Mechanic.

Chris was known for hanging out in his garage. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, car racing, motorcycle riding and working on motorcycles. He was an avid Washington Football Team Fan. 

On June 10, 1995, Chris married the love of his life, Joanne Savoy. Together they were baptized at Zion Baptist Church, Hilltop, Maryland. To this union they were Blessed with three
children.

In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his brothers, Burleigh (Burl) and Don E. Simmons. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his loving and devoted wife Joanne, his
children: Kyle, Christopher, and Jasmyn. His Brother Garry Simmons (Pam), his Sister Tina Ball (Fred), Sister-in-laws: Gloria Simmons, Tracy Simmons, Nephew Tevin Simmons,
Special Aunt Ruth Simmons, like a brother Jeffrey Washington and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held later. Notes of love can be sent to P.O. Box 282, Marbury, MD 20658. The family wishes to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support during our
time of bereavement.
