Barbara Lee Sauber, 76, of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Herbert Sauber.  She was born in Washington, DC on September 30, 1944 to the late Garrison Tice and Madeline Leake.

She is survived by her children Madeline (Candy) Strine (Wayne Strine), Richard Sauber, Michael (Max) Sauber, Bryan Sauber, step-children Maury Sauber and Cheryl Linn (Kenneth Linn); grandchildren Heather Miller (Mike Williams), Ashley Miles (Collin Miles), Jerry Strine, Nancy Gibson (Lee Lee), Georgie Settler and Bryan Sauber II; great-grandchildren Kyle Cooper, Colton Miles, Ariannah Miles and Destiny Miles; and her brothers Allen Tice and Gary Tice.

Barbara was a retired cashier from Nick’s of Clinton.  She enjoyed word search puzzles, spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.  She loved the beach.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of St. Mary’s County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 noon.  Internment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.
