Adele Virginia Brewer Obituary

Adele Virginia Brewer, 73, of Bryans Road, Maryland passed away on April 22, 2025, at Washington Hospital Center surrounded by family.

She was born December 30, 1951, in Washington, D.C. to Helen Marie Rezac and Herschel Dillon Lee Sr.  However, she was raised by her mother and loving stepfather, Oscar Justice Avallone.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  Her love and devotion to her family was everything to her.

She is survived by Robert, her loving husband of 48 years, two daughters Jamie and Julie (John), five grandchildren, Angel, Bradley, Kane, Alyssa and Jaxon, three great-grandchildren, Blayke, Avery and Carter and a host of in-laws, nieces/nephews, cousins and friends that were considered family.

Adele was preceded in death by her mom, Helen Marie Avallone, stepdad, Oscar Justice Avallone, sister, Linda Marie Wolford, brother, Herschel Dillon Lee, Jr., brothers in law Richard Allen Brewer and John Edward Brewer, her three dachshunds, Lady, Abby & Chloe and many other relatives.

Adele was a retired employee of the Federal Government where she worked for 36 years.  She started out at 18 at the Federal Trade Commission in DC and when her children were young, she moved to the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head where she finished her career as the Department Head Secretary of the Test and Evaluation Division.

She has had many different hobbies over the years, including being a Tupperware Consultant, a Longaberger Consultant, collecting dachshund memorabilia and anything else that she could help her church with.

She was a dedicated sports Mom and Grandma over the years and most weekends you would find her at a sports field cheering on one of the children. She loved Ocean City and went faithfully every year to the time-share that her mom purchased in the 70’s.

Adele will be missed immensely, especially for her Rice Krispie treats that she brought to every family function.
