Susan Marie Bowie

Susan Marie Bowie, 57, of Nanjemoy, MD passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018  at her home away from home at Heritage Homestead, in Tomahawk, WV.  She was surrounded by her family who loved her all the way through to the other side.  She was born February 16, 1961 in Washington, NJ.  

Susan was preceded in death by her father John Albert Moon, and son Alton James Bowie III.  She is survived by her husband Alton James Bowie II, mother Alice Francis Azzouzi, children Kathleen, Mary, JohnThomas, Scott, and Christine, and grandchildren Derick, James, and Mika.  She was loved. 

Susan was an artist, the greatest mother, friend, and most importantly a child of God.  She was a woman with many talents and a high IQ a beautiful combination.  Her grandsons call her Bella which means beautiful and she truly was beautiful inside and out.  Susan was a friend to everyone she met, she never held a grudge and offered grace to all.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 12 PM until time of service at 1 PM.  Interment Nanjemoy Baptist Church.  Repast will be held at Fellowship Church, White Plans, MD at 4:30 PM.
