Mildred (Dottie) H. Fuchs

Mildred Hermina (Muller) Fuchs of Indian Head, Maryland gently passed on May 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  Born September 28, 1921 to William F. Muller and Mildred B. (Hindman) Muller.  Dottie had two siblings, Elizabeth (Muller) Ryan and William F. (Bill) Muller (deceased).  Dottie’s father was a WWI Combat Veteran buried at Arlington National Cemetery. 

Dottie married Paul J. Fuchs (deceased) on January 10, 1942.  They are survived by five children and spouses:  Dorothy J. (William) Kreeger, Paul J. Fuchs, Jr., David G. (Jacqueline) Fuchs, Gail M. (William) Farrall and Marcia A. Fuchs.  Twelve Grandchildren:  William Jr. and Brian (Danita) Kreeger, Paul J. III (Bernadette) Fuchs, Kevin, Carrie (Lester) Gilliam, Bradley J “BJ” (Tabitha), David G. (Carrie), Holly M. (Nathan), Benjamin (Elizabeth), Heather P. (Tommy), Mary M. (Franky), Billy (Brittany), and Sixteen (soon to be 17) Great-Grandchildren.

Dottie retired from the Federal Government as a telephone operator.  She enjoyed playing Keyboard and Accordian.  She performed in a local country Western band for several years.  She also loved being a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church Choir as a Singer and Organist for many years.  She occasionally enjoyed playing music for local Senior Citizens Centers.  Dottie delighted in hearing and telling jokes believing “laughter to be the best medicine”.  Dottie will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. 

A viewing will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10 AM until time of funeral mass at 11 AM.  Dottie will be interred beside her husband at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Glymont, Maryland.
