Mary Hilda McDonell (Grandma) 100 of Waldorf, Maryland passed away peacefully in her home on December 19, 2017.
She was married to Harold Frank McDonell on March 5, 1935. They lived happily together for 70 years.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, son David Allen McDonell and parents Archie and Ethel Davis.
She is survived by her daughter Cleo Helland and husband Tom Gandy, son Harold Frank, Jr., grandchildren Heidi McDonell, David, Daniel, and Ben Helland, In-Laws Beth and Dawn, and Great grandchildren Alyssa, Jayla, Mason, Devin, Brody, Brianna and Zoey, and special friends Miranda and Wanda.
Hilda was a cafeteria cook for the board of education and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10 AM until time of service at 12 noon.
Interment Christ Episcopal Church, Accokeek, Maryland.
