John "Johnny" Hanks Headley

We are rejoicing with the “Home Going” of Johnny H. Headley on Saturday, December 22, 2018.  Johnny was born on February 19, 1945 in Norfolk, VA.

He was preceded in death by his mother Edna E. Headley and his father Thomas H. Headley, brother Thomas W. Headley, son Thomas H. Headley II.  Johnny is survived by wife Jane M. Headley and son John P. Headley (Donna Headley), daughter Carrie M. Heselius (Cody Heselius), brother James E. Headley (Joan Headley), 7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

Viewing will be held at Independent Baptist Church (9255 Piscataway Rd, Clinton, MD 20735) on December 28, 2018, at 11:30 AM until time of funeral services at 12:30 PM.  Burial Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf MD 20601).  There will be a time of fellowship after the burial in Sarah Greathouse Hall located at Independent Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Charles County located at 2505 Davis Rd, Waldorf MD, 20603.

Johnny accepted the Lord Jesus as a young adult and faithfully served his Lord with all his heart.  Family and friends knew him as a quiet prayer worrier.  He loved animals, especially his dog Taco the Chocolate Chesapeake Bay Lab, hunting and fishing.  He always had a big smile and a piece of candy for little children at church.
