John Woodrow Johnson

John W Johnson, 89, passed away, following a lengthy illness on May 3, 2018.  He was born in Ripley, MD on January 19, 1929.  He was the son of late Julian Johnson and the late Ida Johnson.  Married 67 years to Helen Johnson, where they resided in Florida in recent years.  He was preceded in death by his brothers: Julian, Douglas and Earl; sisters: Lucille Bond, Carmen Stinnett, Frances Tilch, and Dorothy Gilroy.  He is survived by his wife, Helen P Johnson, son, John W Johnson, Jr; daughters: Judith Johnson, Sharon Mruk, Catherine Passas (James), Donna Mudd (Jeffrey).  He is survived by his grandchildren: Steven Mruk (Erin), Christopher Passas (Isabel), Jennifer Mudd and Erica Mudd Shaffer (Tim).  His surviving great grandchildren include: Emily Passas, Ella Passas, John Mruk and Patrick Mruk.  

Family and friends are invited to a viewing and visitation on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5 PM until time of prayers at 7 PM.  Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 1:45 PM.  Everyone to meet at the cemetery.
