George Wilson Ryce, 75 of Indian Head, Maryland died on April 29, 2017.
George was preceded in death by his parents Sidney W. and Hattie E Ryce, and siblings James Daniel Ryce and Jewel Darlene Ryce.
He is survived by his siblings Charles H. Ryce, Bernice E. Ryce, William D. Ryce, Joyce R. Ryce, David A. Ryce, John N. Ryce and Robert M. Ryce, and special cousins David L. Farrell and Lisa K. Farrell and many nieces and nephews.
George owned and operated the Ryce Excavating Company. He was the president and member of the Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad for more than forty years.
George enjoyed all types of hunting (especially waterfowl and coon hunting), fishing, crabbing and working on tractors (especially Farmall Cub). He mostly enjoyed visiting with family, friends and his black & tan Coonhound.
He was proud of being his own man, honest, kind, out-spoken, loving and caring.
Friends will be received at Christ Episcopal Church Durham, Ironsides, MD on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM.
Interment church cemetery.
