Douglas Melvin Burner, Sr.

Douglas Melvin Burner, Sr. 83 of Accokeek, Maryland, died July 25, 2018 in Clinton, Maryland.  He was born in Luray, Virginia on March 1, 1935.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Catherine Burner.  He is also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Joan T. Burner, siblings Randolph Burner, Charlotte Sours, Joe Burner, Vivian Sims, Vincent Burner, and Lois Moore.

He is survived by his son Douglas Melvin Burner, Jr. (Rock) and siblings Garland Burner, Frances Shackleford and Marion Burner.

Douglas enjoyed going to church, gardening enjoyed telling others about Jesus.

Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday August 2, 2018 at 10 AM until time of service at 12 noon.

Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.
