Welcome to the memorial page for

Douglas Lee Beldsoe

January 16, 1954 ~ September 15, 2017 (age 63) 63 Years Old

UPDATE - Memorial service to be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 2 PM - 6 PM at Lisa's Pub (old VFW) in Indian Head, MD.

It is with great sadness that we announce that Douglas Lee Bledsoe, 63, of Bryans Road, Maryland unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017.

Doug was a hardworking self-employed certified horticulturist of 35 years who loved his job and was devoted to his clients.  Doug received many awards and achievements during his career and proudly displayed them for all to see.

He was a caring person who would help anyone he could because he just loved to see people happy.  With his beautiful blue eyes, contagious smile and unforgettable laugh it was impossible to be anything but be happy when you were in his presence.  Doug was a fun-loving man who loved to joke around with all his little “turkey birds”.  He lived life for the moment, sharing his passion of riding motorcycles with his friends, showing everyone a good time, and keeping his vehicles squeaky clean because that’s what he liked to do.  Doug loved being outdoors - especially on the road or on the water.  His family and friends will always carry fond memories of his antics on a jet ski!  He loved life and he lived his life to the fullest.  He was loved by many and he will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, Dougie.

Doug is survived by his sister, Gale Bledsoe of Corpus Christi, TX; nieces; Stephanie Piatt & Kylie Nicolay of San Antonio, TX, Jacqueline Mican, Heather Gould, and Brigitta Nicolay of Corpus Christi, TX; nephews; Karl & Derek Nicolay of San Antonio, TX; his brother; Mark Bledsoe of Bryans Road.  He is preceded in death by his parents Jeanine & William Bledsoe of Bryans Road,

Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal and love leaves a memory no one can steal.  Doug’s loving friends will be taking him on his final ride following a memorial service to be held at a later date in an effort to ensure as many people as possible who loved him can be present to send him off.
