Norma Jean Raby, 82, a longtime resident of Indian Head, MD entered Heaven’s gates on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She passed peacefully and comfortably surrounded by her loving family. Norma was born August 22, 1934, in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Leslie and Lillian Crown. She devoted much of her time and energy as a homemaker and caregiver to many. She was a kind neighbor and friend who enjoyed pouring her love into her cooking, especially around the holidays.
Norma is survived by her three children (and spouses): William “Billy” G. (Roni) Raby Jr., Lillian (Randy) Weeks, Robert “Bobby” (Lynda) Raby; brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Dorothy) Crown; grandmother to nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Reynolds and brother Ronald Lee Crown.
A viewing will be held at the Indian United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 9 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM. Interment Park Hill Cemetery, Marbury, MD.
